GeoSmart Energy Remains Ahead of the Curve with New Product Lines

Ottawa, ON – When it comes to innovative consumer-oriented product development, GeoSmart Energy is continuing to pull out all the stops with the release today of its new ECO and GeoAir product lines.

Unveiled at the first of four regional GeoSmart Energy dealer meetings being held across the country, the geothermal company’s competitively-priced ECO-Yâ Series and ECO-Zâ Series heat pumps and leading edge GeoAir PCO air purifier are already generating ‘buzz’ among dealers eager to move the new products into their showrooms.

The company’s GeoAir PCO, one of four indoor air quality products in this line, introduces the Canadian HVAC market to one of the most advanced air purifier technologies available today. Unlike existing air cleaning systems that rely solely on ultraviolet light, the PCO integrates a titanium dioxide semiconductor to leverage photocatalytic oxidation allowing it to vaporize indoor air pollutants, including those that cause odors, and break them down into non-toxic products like C02 and H20. Bacteria, viruses, mold spores and volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) are destroyed when they come into contact with the system’s 187 square-inch Ti02 grid. The system is cost-effective, maintenance-free and provides maximum energy efficiency with negligible resistance to airflow.

Dealers like the fact that the unit can be installed in any existing HVAC system, doesn’t require filters and comes with an extensive warranty, all features that appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers seeking cost-effective solutions for improving indoor air quality.

In introducing the cost-effective ECO line, GeoSmart Energy brings to market two forced air geothermal heat pump options for budget-conscious consumers seeking affordable, high quality alternatives to the company’s more expensive Premium product lines.

ENERGY STARâ-rated, both the ECO-Yâ Series and ECO-Zâ Series are suitable for new construction or retrofit and will be particularly appealing options for homeowners seeking to replace existing heat pumps. They are ideal for both geothermal closed loop and well-water installations in single or multi-family housing.

The ECO-Yâ Series sets the industry standard in its class for performance, efficiency and quality  while the ECO Zâ is designed to adhere to the footprint of lower efficiency equipment while operating at the high efficiencies of today’s technology.

All ECO products feature variable speed ECM blower motors, robust microprocessor controls, environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant, and an optional hot water generator that delivers preheated water directly to the hot water heater to save money. The exterior galvanized steel cabinets feature gray powder-coated finishes for maximum corrosion resistance and high density foil-faced cabinet insulation for improved air quality and easy cleaning.

The ECO Series is performance-certified under ARI/ISO 13256-1.
